Section Title
This 4-session intensive course provides therapists with a sophisticated framework to move beyond trauma-informed care and explore the purposeful nature of memory. Instead of viewing early recollections as static artifacts of the past, you will learn to treat them as a dynamic map that reveals how your client views themselves, others, and the world today.

One thing is for sure: after this course, you will not look at therapy the same way again.
In the therapy room, regardless of your theoretical approach, one thing is certain: you are curious about the roots of your client's behaviors, belief systems, and the patterns that limit their potential for a fulfilling life. In clinical practice, childhood recollections are rarely just "random" memories; they are the living blueprints of a client’s personality, current struggles, and "private logic."

Whether these are difficult, traumatic experiences or seemingly "insignificant" daily moments, they reveal far more than meets the eye. Having worked with childhood memories for two decades, I am still discovering new ways to master this skill, and I want to share that journey with you.

Through a mix of clinical theory and practical demonstration, we will explore:

-
The Art of Selection: Why the mind preserves specific "mundane" memories and how they justify current behaviour.
-
Decoding the Inner Language: How to read the metaphors and themes within a memory to uncover core life goals and manifest tangible change.
-
From Past to Present: Techniques to use these insights to deepen the therapeutic alliance and move past clinical plateaus.

Whether you work in Psychodynamic, Imago, CBT, or Narrative modalities—and whether you treat couples or individuals—this course will equip you with a powerful "diagnostic" lens that respects the client’s creative survival while offering a clear pathway for change.
Key Takeaways:

-
Master specific inquiry techniques to elicit high-value memories, even from clients who "don't remember much."
-
Identify "Social Interest" and "Private Logic" within the very first sessions of treatment.
-
Convert memories into therapeutic tools that help clients shift their self-narrative in real-time.
